Accommodations and Parking
NGIS has reserved a block of rooms at a reduced rate for symposium attendees at The Silver Legacy in downtown Reno, located at 407 N Virginia St. The deadline for reserving a room at this rate is Monday, November 2, 2026. Limited rooms are available at the conference rate, so be sure to reserve your room early!
The Silver Legacy is about a 1.1-mile, slightly uphill walk from the Joe Crowley Student Union (JCSU), where the 2026 NGIS Symposium will take place. Attendees may prefer to drive their own vehicle, use a ride-share service, or try the RTC RAPID - Virginia Line. NGIS will not be providing transportation from the Silver Legacy to the JCSU.
The JCSU is located centrally on the main University of Nevada, Reno campus, southeast of the Lawlor Events Center. The 2026 NGIS Symposium will take place on the 4th floor of the JCSU. An interactive campus map is available here.
Parking is available for NGIS Symposium registrants on the top floor of the West Stadium Parking Complex. A parking code is required and will be provided to attendees after completing the registration process. The code will enable attendees to print a permit from the kiosk on the top floor that must be placed and visible on their vehicle dashboard. Specific instructions will be provided when the parking code is provided.
