Presentations

The Nevada Geographic Information Society is excited to celebrate our 26th anniversary in Las Vegas and we hope you will be able to join us. We are proud to be celebrating 26 years of sharing information and innovations with others in our exciting, ever-changing field, and are currently seeking proposals for conference presentations. Oftentimes when we do tasks on a regular basis, we take for granted our use of GIS and how it is helping us be more productive. Please take a minute to think about how presenting your day-to-day use of GIS could help other GIS users be more successful.

Presentation proposals on topics related to GIS will be considered and judged on their value and relevance to the conference program. The deadline for receipt of proposals is April 3, 2017. Notification of acceptance will be sent by email one week after submission.

How to Submit a Presentation Proposal

The computers will be equipped with Microsoft Office and Internet access. Please specify any additional needs you may have and NGIS will do its best to accommodate the request. It is strongly recommended that you bring your presentation on media such as a CD-ROM or a USB drive. Presenters are responsible for bringing whatever type of video cable adaptor is necessary in order to use the provided projectors, including HDMI adaptors.

If you have any questions about the submittal process, please contact Debbi Taylor or Tommie Weckesser at papers@ngis.org. The primary presenter and all co-presenters must be paid conference registrants. Presenters who have not registered by April 13, 2017 will be removed from the final program.

We look forward to your submission and we’ll see you in Las Vegas for NGIS 2017!
